A selection of the illustrations for my current brief "Design in Action", based upon the building Temple Works. I decided to create a visual diary using a range of media, which would consist of my thoughts and feelings relating to the space. Using the surrealist technique of automatic drawing and writing I created these images in a hypnotic manner; letting my mind wander around my initial impressions and drawing these conscious and subconscious thoughts, allowing them to visually fill the page and create an unintentional image. Some drawings were created whilst sat outside or exploring the interior of the building, elements of my surroundings (such as the cold and wind, sounds or smells in the distant, etc.) providing inspiration for my work.
